about
What is a fanlisting? According to TFL.org, 'A fanlisting is simply an online listing of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are) - they are just a place where you can have your name listed along with other fans of the same subject. TheFanlistings.org is the original (but not official) web directory for fanlistings, dedicated to uniting the fans.'
masks
mask is a sculptured object that is worn by a performer, and normally represents a face. Masks are performing objects closely related to puppets and have been used since antiquity for ceremonial, aesthetic, and practical purposes. They are usually, but not always, worn on the face, although they may also be positioned for effect elsewhere in relation to the wearers own face.
The word mask came via French masque and either Italian maschera or Spanish máscara. Possible ancestors are Latin (not classical) mascus, masca = "ghost", and Arabic maskharah = "jester", "man in masquerade".
Throughout the world masks are used for their expressive power as a feature of masked performance. They are a familiar and vivid element in many folk and traditional pageants, ceremonies, rituals and festivals. Many of these of an ancient origin. The mask is often a part of costume that adorns the whole body and embodies a tradition important to a particular society of people.
