I generally go by the shortened name of Jo, but am actually
called Joanna, with Claire as my middle name. I was very nearly called Sushanna,
Victoria or Nicholas if I were a boy, which, please note, I wasn't. But
alas, I am Joanna, er, Jo...
I was born in the February of 1987, narrowly missing out of being an Aquarius
which I should have been, and became a Pisces on the 20th, when Ben E King
was number one in the music charts with 'Stand By Me'.
I have blonde hair, dyed with black and burgundy streaks, which travels
midway of my back and porcelain skin. I have a pair of emerald green eyes,
and tiny ears with pierced lobes. I stopped growing at the height of 5"3
and I am petite overall wearing clothes size 6-8. I don't weigh very much
either - I never gain weight no matter how much I eat, and no, that isn't
a positive thing.
If you haven't figured out all ready, I am female and I live in the little
sheep filled place called Wales. It actually isn't little and isn't full
of sheep, but I won't burst any bubbles. Think of it as a mini New Zealand
and you're pretty much accurate in what it's like. I've lived here my entire
life and, for some strange reason, proud to be Welsh, even though I can
only speak a couple of phrases of the language (though I did manage to pass
my Welsh GSCE exam without attending one class, the actual exam, doing any
coursework, classwork or homework...)
Some people wear rose coloured glass. I wear black. I see the world through
a negative point of view, and tend to form my own controversial opinions
on things which others would no doubt be aghast by, so I'm certainly not
going to put them down here. I am pessimistic by nature but I'm happy with
that - less dissapointment in the long run.
I don't like stereotypes. I like being my own person, with my own style,
likes, dislikes and views. Unfortunately, the fact I bare little confidence,
the ability to stand up for myself (despite being a stubborn cow at the
best of times), and the dislike of being the centre of attention, does go
against all that.
I am animal crazy - I pretty much run a zoo at home. It's simple: Worship
animals; dislike most people.
I have my shadow who goes by the name of Rascal Teddy Edward, a spoilt little
brat who has taken on my entire personality, positive and negative traits
alike.
Then there is the bane of everyone's life, the dickhead who goes by the
name of Giacomo [or just plain Jack], the Cairn Terrier whose ears never
went up, has a thing for jumping through windows, hates me wearing trousers,
says 'hello' to all & sundry and genuinely believes he is superdog.
We think he was dropped on his head as a pup...
There is the equine clown, Buddy who loves entertaining and is as soft as
brush. Jamie Jay is his sidekick, who is the biggest baby ever and believes
the bush outside the menage has conspiracy against him.
Mowgli [originally named Shadowfax...] is a little thug who thinks he's
ten times he size he really is and lastly, there's Harvey, a pony who could
easily bring tears to a glass eye.
Why I ended up with all the idiotic beasts, I have no idea.
For work experience, I went to Capricorn Animal sanctuary for a week. I
ended up bringing home a little girl called Tabitha who made herself known
to me everytime I went in the shed.
She was the sweetest hamster...
I have very few 'human' family, as my Dad was adopted as a baby, and my
Mum was an only child like myself. I have only one grandparent still alive,
and she drives me potty. The Royle Family is alive and well at my house
on a Sunday afternoon.
I like reading online fanfiction. I wish I could write some of my own,
however I have the shortest attention span in the world and after writing
one paragraph, I'm fed up. I do believe I'm the most useless individual
ever placed on the planet. In my eyes, I am pretty much talentless, but
there goes my pessimistic attitude once again, though I dare you prove me
wrong.
I have a dry, generally sarcastic sense of humour, so I'm not into slapstick
comedies. I get that off my Dad.
I am a mad collector of things, and I have a bad habit of hoarding everything.
It's not a good combination, as my tiny, lilac bedroom will tell you.
Ebay is an addiction - I'm currently waiting for someone to set up an Ebay
Anonomous support group. I do not remember the last time I set foot into
a clothes shop... Or even went into town for that matter. I worship and
despise the founder of Ebay at the same time!
Then again, my Mum is just as bad. What kind of example is she?! My Dad
doesn't understand the obsession over it. I don't understand the obsession
he has over his patehtic football game on the computer. So there, we're
equal.
My taste in music is extremely varied. In fact it doesn't really make much
sense. I like one thing from genre, and then something completely different
from another. My playlist is all over the place with rock, pop, classical,
japanese, country... Oh, and I depise black music - you know, R'n'B, urban.
Sorry but thats' not music in my opinion. Go listen to Requiem Of A Tower...
When you look at my list of favourite movies, you will see none of them
are modern day films. I like period films, with beautiful costumes, and
amazing soundtacks. Zorro, Pirates, Mummy...
At school, my favourite and best subject was english - or english lit'
to be exact. I loved delving deep into a novel I hadn't read before to find
double meanings to things, and to really understand what's going on. That
also means I detest the use of bad english, spelling, grammar and such.
I'm mad on photography at the moment. To be honest, it wasn't something
I used to be into much - take a snapshot ere and there, but that's as far
as it went. Now I love it, and find it a great means express myself, and
catalogue my llife at the same time (especially when it comes to my variety
of pets).
